About us

Lora Lee activewear was started by us (Leigh and Lorraine), two lifelong teachers, who have now retired and are expanding their love of sewing and creating into a small business.

Because we both have children who are totally involved in the training of swimming (mostly children) and the participation in, and the coaching of, serious triathletes, the business has naturally evolved into one that produces activewear which has been seriously quality controlled!

We enjoy offering a wide range of beautiful, fun fabrics, each suited to specific active garments. Clients are able to choose their own colours and prints, and tell us exactly what they need. For those clients that prefer instant gratification, we have a small stock of ready-mades! Most importantly, our products are funky, fun and structured to fit the needs of experienced sports men,  women and children.

Most garments are made with modern 4-way stretch fabric, but this does depend on the garment requested by the client.

We enjoy interacting with our clients and believe that the relationships we build with our clients are as important as the personalized and high-quality products we produce.  We welcome feedback and suggestions from our clients, and this has led to the development of many new and successful “lines”. 

Contrary to what one might expect, the prices we charge are surprisingly reasonable. Some of our clients have described our little company as one that “produces good quality at bargain store prices”. As our garments are not mass produced, you are unlikely to see many other people in an identical one to yours.

We love what we do and sharing the delight of our customers upon receiving their garment is what we enjoy the most.
